Day will feature live music and dancing plus a wide range of food stalls
September 3, 2024 Artification is planning to hold a free family event at the W3 Venue on North Acton Playing Fields (W3 0JF). The community arts organisation recently took over management of the facility and will be hosting the event there on Saturday 14 September from 1-4pm. Stalls will include a book shop and those from local designer makers such as potter Farin and Peter Filbey. Food stalls include Japanese street food from Mushi Kitchen, Modo’s cuisine and the W3 Baking Club. Activities will include face painting and art for children. The programme of entertainment starts at 1.30pm with Choir & Dancing Folklore from the Local Japanese Hobby Group followed by local singing group A Wing and a Prayer at 2.15pm, Zumba by Ana at 3.30pm and the drummers of Dance Carib from 3.30pm. The Artification vision is to connect people and places through art. It aims to make this happen by responding to local needs and developing arts and cultural venues, with initiatives that bring communities together.
