The second of three Makers Markets curated by Your Acton Bid on Churchfield Road is scheduled to take place later this month.
On Saturday 14 September, around forty stalls will set up from 10am to 4:30pm offering offering art, fashion, jewellery, handcrafted jams, sauces, wines, and home décor, and food and drink.
Part of Churchfield Road will be closed to vehicles from Alfred Road and Burlington Gardens.
The aim is to support local, independent, and sustainable businesses.
Your Acton BID, a not-for-profit company funded and run by Acton’s local businesses, in collaboration with Design LED.
Natasha Patel of Your Acton BID, said, “Our vision is to make Acton a great destination for businesses, residents, and visitors alike, and to ensure that local businesses are given every opportunity to succeed.
“It’s an opportunity for locals and BID businesses to get together and bring the true community spirit to Acton. The last market in July was such a great day out for everyone and we’ve been working round the clock to make the next two even better.”.
The market is free, and there is parking at The Oaks Shopping Centre and surrounding streets. The shopping centre car park is free for the first ninety minutes for people using the centre. Acton Central overground station is right by the market and for those taking the bus, the 207, 70, 266, 607, E3, 427 and 440 all stop nearby.
More details are on the Your Acton Bid web site.

This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.
Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
We've always done that and won't be changing, in fact we'd like to do more.
However, the readership that these stories generates is often below that needed to cover the cost of producing them. Our financial resources are limited and the local media environment is intensely competitive so there is a constraint on what we can do.

If neither of these amounts is suitable for you then contact info@neighbournet.com and we can set up an alternative. All payments are made through a secure web site.
One-off donations are also appreciated. Choose The Amount You Wish To Contribute.

For businesses we offer the chance to be a corporate sponsor of community content on the site. For £30 plus VAT per month you will be the designated sponsor of at least one article a month with your logo appearing if supplied. If there is a specific community group or initiative you'd like to support we can make sure your sponsorship is featured on related content for a one off payment of £50 plus VAT.
