Police renew appeals for witnesses to A4 hit and run

Police are still actively appealing for witnesses and information after a fatal hit and run collision in Isleworth.
The incident happened at approx. 00.30 on Sunday 11th June. Police responded to reports of a car in collision with a pedestrian on the Great West Road (A4). Two people were seen in the vehicle.
The ambulance service attended and took the victim, 18 year old Marcus MacFarlane, to West Middlesex Hospital, where he died.
Marcus, who had spent Saturday watching the World Cup with his friends and family, was in the carriageway at a crossing point when the car, believed to be a maroon four door hatchback Renault Laguna, circa 1995/1996, travelling eastbound was in collision with him. The car failed to stop.
Police now believe that they have identified the vehicle involved - a vehicle found abandoned outside Alma House, Walnut Tree Road on the Haverfield Estate in Brentford. They also believe the driver is a local person and appeal to the community to come forward with any information that they may have.
