Recovery in transaction levels provides relief for agents
There was some good news for local property developers and estate agents with the publication of new figures by the Land Registry. After an all-time low in March when just 7 properties changed hands, April saw a recovery with 25 transactions taking place. This is still well down on previous levels. The average property in Acton cost £334,141 in the first quarter. During April this fell to £315,460. For London as a whole the Land Registry index shows the average price for April at £297,155 down 0.2% on the previous month and down by 15.7% on the year. Prices have fallen for the last twelve months. If you are thinking of selling or buying in the area - tell your estate agent you use ActonW3.com.
