An evening of jazz by candlelight featuring classic songs from film and theatre is to take place in Acton.
The Kelley Suttenfield Jazz Quintet will present Songs of Stage and Screen at St Mary’s Church on The Mount.
This special one-off performance will take place on Friday 11 April with doors opening at 7:00pm and the concert running from 7:30pm to 9:00pm.
This intimate and atmospheric event promises to transport audiences through a selection of jazz-infused renditions of well-known songs from film and musical theatre.
Kelley Suttenfield has been praised for her velvety, emotive voice and distinctive interpretations of jazz and contemporary classics. She has drawn critical acclaim from across the jazz world. Carol Banks Weber (AXS.com) describes her as an artist who "breathes her own loving, sensitive, and reverent persona into every lyric."
Kelley has previously performed at venues such as The Iridium and Jazz at Kitano in New York City, The Pheasantry in London, and the legendary Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, where she sang with the New York All Stars.
Joining her at St. Mary’s will be Chris Lee on piano, Stefanos Tsourelis on guitar, Martin Young on bass with Alex Babic on drums.
A licensed bar will be available throughout the evening.
Tickets cost £10 plus a £1 booking fee or £8.50 plus booking fee for full-time students and under 18s. A donation to support music education programmes at St. Mary’s is appreciated but not required.
St Mary’s Acton is at 1 The Mount, Acton (W3 9NW).
