Eat Lebo agreed to earlier closing after objections from neighbours October 17, 2024 A new Lebanese restaurant is site to open on Gunnersbury Lane after being granted a premise licence by Hounslow Council. Eat Lebo is taking over the site formerly occupied by longstanding Italian restaurant Casereccio which closed over a year ago. The new restaurant will serve urban Lebanese street food and is part of a franchise operation started in 2020 by Henri and Emile Salaméh. It originally wanted to remain open after midnight every evening but after objections from some residents agreed to operating hours at the 10A The Broadway which would see last orders on 11:30pm Sunday to Thursday and 12:30am on Fridays and Saturdays. Two objections were made to the licensing authority by local residents who attended the Licensing Panel meeting earlier this month to state their case. They were concerned about noise and the possibility of anti-social behaviour. There was no object from the borough Licensing Enforcement Team and the police also did not object after discussions with the applicant. The Applicant told the meeting that the premises would not be holding events such as wedding parties and would not have late night music other than recorded traditional Lebanese music playing indoors only. It was anticipated that most evenings the restaurant would be closing up by 11pm. When asked about the amount of activity from delivery riders collecting from the premises, the applicant said that based on the experience of their Ruislip branch, they made up about 65% of orders. They also dismissed suggestions that the outside eating would block the pavement.
