Peter Inson's dunno available nationwide
Former Twyford school head teacher, Peter Inson is celebrating national recognition for his first novel, dunno which is reviewed in this month's Booksforkeeps, a magazine for booksellers and librarians.
The reviewer states, "
This unusual book - a more credible account than most of how things are in a stratum of Britain it's more comfortable to ignore.
You have to admire Inson's willingness to get into this hostile world full-on.
An ambitious and compassionate fictional case study of Jon's life at the bottom of the stack."
dunno is also featured in this month's Writers' Forum where Peter tells about his efforts to write and publish the book himself. Further afield, dunno has now reached a third country, Holland, where Waterstone's stock it in Amsterdam! dunno is already on sale in Switzerland.
Following a successful book signing at Corbetts in Pinner, Peter is looking forward to a special evening signing at The Pittshanger Bookshop on November 25th. He has just been booked for five days at the West Word Literary Festival next spring. Peter has now visited four schools where students have enquired whether they will be able to see something of Jon in adult life; the Sudbury-based author says that a sequel is now a distinct possiblity.
In the UK, dunno is available from all major bookshops and from Amazon.
Locally, it is on sale in: Corbetts, Pinner, The Willesden Bookshop, The Pittshanger Bookshop, The Children’s Bookshop, Pinner and Ottakar’s, 60-62, St Ann’s Road, Harrow.
Signed copies are available from the author's web site.
