Detectives urge remaining eyewitnesses to come forward
A 19-year-old woman has been arrested by officers investigating the murder of Khalid Safi in North Acton earlier this month. She was arrested at an address in Redbridge on Wednesday, 7 December on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. She has been bailed to return on a date in early January 2017 pending further enquiries. Khalid was stabbed in the heart outside the Holiday Inn on Victoria Road on 1 December.
Khalid was still alive after the police attended reports of a fight at around 6.33pm and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service but died shortly afterwards. Detectives continue to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them. Detective Chief Inspector Sam Price, who is leading the investigation for the Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: "There were a lot of people in the area of Victoria Road at the time of the incident and, while we have spoken to several people, I believe that not everyone has come forward at this time. "I m continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed the fatal stabbing or the moments leading up to it to contact officers in the incident room. "I would urge anyone who can assist our investigation to come forward as soon as possible."
