Local businesses around Eastman Road near The Vale in Acton say a dairy which has been there for nine years has grown too big for the area and its delivery vehicles are causing major road safety concerns.

Freshways Dairy has been operating in W3 since 1999, the processing facility was completed in 2001 and the company has continued to grow becoming the largest independent family run dairy in the country.

There are many other businesses close by including Kwikfit, Safestore, Bombay Duck, Kiss Gyms, Shell, Access Storage and its being claimed the roads are becoming impassable because of the constant flow of Freshways HGVs, day and night.

Damian Lees from removal firm Tactical Moves based on The Vale says, '' There have been various incidents over the last 2-3 years and it is only matter of time before someone is seriously injured or killed on The Vale or at the junction of Eastman Road.

''Also, the surrounding roads are often clogged up with huge dairy trucks. In fact, the section of East Acton Lane to the East of Acton Park is used as a dairy trailer park for most nights and many days.

''Put simply, the dairy has outgrown the site and needs to move to somewhere more appropriate for its needs.''
