Accused of stabbing 18-year-old Mahad Ali to death
A man from Wembley has been charged in connection with the murder of a teenager at a Park Royal warehouse party earlier this year. Sakariya Gasar, aged 20, of Waverly Avenue, Wembley was arrested on Wednesday, 18 October and charged on Thursday, 19 October with the murder of Mahad Hussain Ali from Crouch End who was fatally stabbed. He is due to appear in custody at Ealing Magistrates' Court.
Three men have been arrested previously in connection with Mahad’s murder. A 41-year-old man was detained on the day of the killing on suspicion of murder and three days later a 21-year-old man was arrested for the same reason. On 6 July a 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. All three men were subsequently released under investigation Around 40-50 people are believed to have been in attendance at the party on Thursday, 29 June in Coronation Road. In the early hours of the morning an altercation began inside the venue and people inside spilled out onto the street. It was at this point Mahad was stabbed. He was tended at the scene by paramedics and taken to hospital but pronounced dead two hours later. He had celebrated his eighteenth birthday just over a month before he was killed. October 19, 2017 |
