Woman attacked in the early hours of Tuesday morning
An appeal is being made by the Metropolitan Police for anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the early hours of Tuesday morning (20 June) after a woman was sexually assaulted in Acton. The attack took place at around 2.25am near Springfield Gardens. Forensic officers were on the scene during the day. A spokesman from Metropolitan Police said:, "A 21-year-old woman was assaulted at approximately 2.25am in the Springfield Gardens area of Acton. "Detectives from the Met's Sexual Offences Exploitation and Child Abuse Command are investigating." At this stage, no arrests have been made.
