Two Men Sought After South Acton Shooting | ||||
Appeal for witnesses after 'deliberate and targeted attack' Brouncker Road, South Acton
Police are seeking two men after a shooting incident in Brouncker Road, Acton on Tuesday afternoon (15 March). Just before 4.45pm two men approached another group of three men and a number of shots were fired towards the second group. It is believe a black hand gun was used. A 30-year-old man was shot in the legs and he is still in hospital although his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Another man, aged 25, was initially believed to have also been shot but after receiving medical treatment this was found not to be the case. He has since been discharged from hospital. A third man aged 24 was treated for shock. An air ambulance attended the incident landing on South Acton Park. The two suspects are both black males who were wearing dark clothing one of whom is described as being in his early twenties. They were in a dark coloured vehicle with tinted rear passenger windows. Detectives have recovered a vehicle at Saxon Drive, Acton suspected to be involved in this incident. Detective Inspector Glenn Butler from Trident said: "I would ask anyone who was in the area of Brouncker Road at the time of this incident, who may have seen or heard anything which may assist our investigation to get in touch. "We would also like to hear from anyone who may have noticed any unusual activity in the Saxon Drive area where the car was recovered. We are urgently seeking to identify these suspects and recover the firearm. All information will be treated in the strictest of confidence. "This appears to be a deliberate and targeted attack on the three men. Our investigation is ongoing and there will be a visible police presence in the area to reassure the local community."
