Blue Mercedes failed to stop at the scene
An 82-year-old man remains in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a car on Gunnersbury Lane. The collision occurred on Wednesday, 5 January shortly before 3.30pm. The car, a blue coloured Mercedes A Class, did not stop at the scene. The victim was taken to hospital and the latest update is that his condition is stable. A 27-year-old man turned himself in at a west London police station later that same day. He was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop after a road traffic collision. He was later released on bail. The vehicle concerned was recovered.
