Ealing Council start process of trying to remove them

Ealing Council says it has started the removal process after a group of travellers set up camp on the site of the new Ark Byron school in Acton Park.

The group - with vans and caravans - is thought to have arrived on Monday ( 31st October).

Police visited the site on Tuesday ( 1st November) when PC David Loveday tweeted the above photos and said:

'' We are down in Acton Park. Speaking to the park staff about the Travelers who have set up on site of the new school.''

An Ealing Council spokesperson today said: ''Council officers visited the site with the police to complete the checks and assessments we are legally obliged to carry out. We are now agreeing the next steps to resolve this situation with the unauthorised encampment as quickly as possible.”
