Therapy Box impress judges with innovative APPs
An Acton based firm, which has developed APPs to help people with disabilities has won the Contribution to the Community prize at the Nectar Business Small Business Awards 2015 Therapy Box Limited, based at Warple Way provide specialist programmes for people with disabilities and impressed the judging panel including star of BBC’s Dragon’s Den, Sarah Willingham. Sarah commented: “Therapy Box is a very deserving winner of Nectar Business’ Contribution to the Community prize. Their success from apps, which help those who cannot speak to communicate, and those who cannot move, to control their environment, is an inspiration. “Britain has a great entrepreneurial appetite and SMEs are the backbone of our economy. I really was wowed by this year’s Nectar Business Small Business Award winners. All six winners reiterate that with hard work and a clear vision, anything’s possible. I hope that their achievements will motivate others to activate their own business ideas.” Rebecca Bright, Speech and Language Therapist and founder of Therapy Box Limited commented: “It really means a lot to have won; it’s an acknowledgement for the team who all work really hard. This award was especially important as it was partly voted for by the public. We’re so proud of how the company has grown quickly from just myself and my husband around the kitchen table in the evenings, to a team of 10 in London and a design and development team of 20 in India. ” Rebecca and her company were judged by a panel of business experts, including; Sarah Willingham, Nectar Managing Director, Will Shuckburgh; 2013 Nectar Business Small Business of the Year winner and founder of Goody Good Stuff, Melissa Snover; Marketing Director of Brakes, Adam Collett and Allan Dickson, Head of Commercial at Dulux Decorator Centre.
