A charity concert is being held at St Dunstan's in Acton in aid of a man who has been on death row in Florida for 24 years.

concert

Anthony Mungin was imprisoned in 1993 after a shop worker was shot dead and has been on death row after being sentenced for first degree murder. However the case has been the cause of much concern and new evidence will be presented at a hearing next month.

Philippe Blondel who has organised the fundraising event at St Dunstan's church said:

'' This is a charity event, to raise awareness of Anthony’s dire plight, that is to say the fact that he has been wrongfully incarcerated on death row for a crime he never committed in 1993. However some good news is on the way- Anthony will have a new evidentiary hearing on December the 19th. This will cost 12,000 dollars hence our little association doing all we possibly can to raise awareness and funds.''

The concert takes place on December 2nd at St Dunstan's Church in East Acton at 5pm.
