Trackside 'de-vegetation' work alongside Acton Main line station will be taking place over the next few weeks.

Network Rail say it's needed as part of improvements being made to support the new Great Western Railway and Elizabeth line services.

Tree branches that have grown too far over the electric exclusion zone between Acton Main Line and Hanwell stations will be cut back. These works will be carried out between Saturday 13 October to Monday 29 October.

To try and minimise disruption the works will take place during the weekend and/or weekday nights because safety equipment, which can only be used when trains aren't running, is needed.

Network Rail say ''We would like to assure residents thatwe will be working with our environmental specialists to undertake surveys of the area before any work commences, and these specialists will be on hand where necessary throughout the works to ensure compliance with conservation regulations.''

If you have any queries, either before or while this work is taking place, please call our dedicated 24-hour National Helpline on 03457 11 41 41or email CRCrossrail@networkrail.co.uk.
