Inspectors deem improvement necessary at Dalpash Bakery
March 8, 2023 A takeaway restaurant on Horn Lane has received a one-star review from council food inspectors following a visit made earlier this year. Their report concluded that major improvement was necessary at Dalpash Bakery which is just north of Acton Mainline Station. Dalpash serves food from the Middle East and its Lebanese style pizzas were popular with local residents. When assessing food hygiene and safety, the inspectors determined that there was some major non-compliance with statutory obligations with more effort required to prevent fall in standards. The establishment scored lowest for Confidence in Management which generally indicates a varying record of compliance and poor appreciation of hazards and control measures in the opinion of hygiene inspectors. It also indicates a lack of a food safety management system. Structural compliance at Dalpash was rated as Generally Satisfactory which indicates that standards are being maintained and improved. Some non-compliance with statutory obligations and industry codes of recommended practice. The premises are in the top 50 per cent of premises and standards are being maintained or improved.
