Man and woman questioned after hand-gun found

A man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of possessing a gun after police stopped a car near the North Circular
Trident and Area Crime Command detectives along with specialist firearms officers carried out the pro-active operation on Monday (7th November).
Just before 22:00hrs they carried out a stop on a car on the A406 near Abbey Road, NW10. A handgun was recovered.
The two occupants of the car - a man aged 30 and a woman aged 21 - were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and taken into custody at a north London police station.
Enquires by Trident continue.
