Defibrillator Needed For Acton Park | ||||
Can you help local parkrun as it fundraises to raise money for vital equipment?
Acton Junior Park run is going from strength to strength and organisers are appealing for help from the community to fund a vital piece of medical equipment. The popular event for 4-14 year olds started just over a month ago and it's estimated between 70- 90 young runners now turn out every Sunday morning. As part of the successful parkrun group the local event is being called upon by HQ (alongside all the others) to provide a defibrilator by the end of the year. They cost around £700 and organisers say since starting the appeal runners, their families & others have helped raise £200 but there is still some way to go. The defibrillator would be kept in the park for others to access if any emergencies happened so would provide a benefit for the whole community. Donate, help fund or raise money to buy the defibrillator online here For further information please contact the event director Claire Walker: acton-juniorsoffice@parkrun.com
