London Fire Brigade enjoyed packed reopening party at refurbished venue
The Aeronaut which has been closed for nearly a year after a fire on New Year's Eve is back in business with members of London Fire Brigade special guests during the opening weekend. The pub – well known for its exotic circus and cabaret shows and its quirky carnivalesque gardens – returned to form on Thursday (30th November) for a series of shows, the first since the 2017 New Year’s Eve party was cut short. A range of perfomers gave their all to a packed house and customers were delighted with the spectacular entertainment. Roxy West. manager at The Aeronaut said they were overjoyed to be back in business: '' We’re so happy with the reaction to our return, really touched. The whole weekend was an absolute success, fully booked with waiting lists both Friday and Saturday. The circus show was mind-blowingly amazing, all the acts both regular and new were outstanding! And the crowd were amazing. ''Sunday Roasts was a welcome return, with the pub booked up all day. La La Bar entertained guests with more mellow, chilled out tunes to ease everyone into Sunday. Lots of people enjoying the VR room – so much fun was had. ''We were so proud to have the London Fire Brigade down too, and the Green Watch are coming this Friday. All in all, we couldn’t be happier. We love Acton so much, we’ve missed the place as much as people seem to have missed us.'' Acton local, Julian Smith was also in the opening night audience and was highly impressed, he said:
